  • Metrobus have re-introduced a Sunday bus service to Langton after many years without one.   Route 291 now runs on Sundays & Public Holidays every two hours and links Langton with Tunbridge Wells, Groombridge, Hartfield, Forest Row, East Grinstead and Crawley. The new timetable can be found at www.metrobus.co.uk/timetable.php?route_id=3&type=sun  As this route is being operated without any subsidy, its long term viability relies on good use being made of it.
  • 'Enjoy-a-Ball' a new childrens multi-sport coaching programme is an after-school class at Langton Green Village Hall.  See www.enjoy-a-ball.com  for further details
  • The RSPB have opened a new reserve at Broadwater Warren.  It is still under development but is already an important local reserve.  Click on the following link for more information.

15th September Langton Green Flower Club meeting at 7.30pm for 7.45pm.  Admission fee for non-members.  For more information contact Linda Olden on 01892 540563.  This month the talk is by Debbie Dan called 'WAFAJapan'
   
19th September Hospice in the Weald Tunbridge Wells 10K Run and 1K Fun Run. There is a new faster, flatter route for 2010 which goes through Langton Green.  The runners start at the Lower Cricket Ground, Tunbridge Wells, run down Langton Road and turn down Broome Lane to continue the run.  The first water station will be outside David Lovett butchers shop. Runs start and finish at Lower Cricket Ground.  Start time 10am.  The 10K is a challenging course through Broadwater Forest. The 1K Fun Run is open to Juniors, Mums, Dads, Grandparents etc and is a lot less exhausting!  All proceeds to Hospice in the Weald. For entry forms and further information call 01892 820508
